B.S.A. Troop 535 Joining requirements and how to join our troop.

Joining Requirements Meet Age Requirments. Be A boy who has completed the fifth grade or is 11 years old, or has earned the Arrow of Light Award but is under 18 years old. Complete a Boy Scout Application and health history signed by your parent or guardian. Find a scout troop near you home. Repeat the Pledge of Allegiance. Demonstrate the Scout Sign, Salute, and Handshake. Demonstrate tying the square knot. (also called the joining knot) Understand and agree to live by the Scout Oath or Promise, Law, Motto, and Slogan, and the Outdoor Code. Describe the Scout Badge. Complete the pamphlet Excercises. With your parent or guardian, complete the excercises in the pamphlet How to Protect Your Children from Child Abuse: A Parent's Guide. Participate in a Scoutmaster conference. Turn in your Boy Scout application and health history form signed by your parent or guardian, then participate in a Scoutmaster conference.

How to Join our Troop With your parent or guardian come to our regular troop meeting held each Monday night at 7:00 p.m. at the Murphy Elementary School, 2101 Valley Drive , High Ridge, MO, 63049. The school is located  off Old Sugar Creek Rd. turn onto OLD SUGAR CREEK RD.   go 0.4 miles  ( 0.7 km)  Turn RIGHT onto VALLEY DR.   0.3 miles  ( 0.5 km). Tell us you are there to join.
